Hey everyone,
It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of the Lux server. Saturday, December 14th, 2024 will be the final day for Lux.
Launched on June 1st, 2023, Lux has been a significant part of the Paradise Lost community. We’ve shared countless adventures, forged lasting friendships, and created unforgettable memories together.
Why are we closing Lux?
- Declining Playerbase: Unfortunately, we’ve seen a significant drop in active players over the past months. Without new players to revitalize the community, it’s become increasingly difficult to sustain the server.
- Loss of Developer Support: The original developer of the Lux map has vanished without a trace, taking the map with them. We’re currently relying on unreliable backup maps provided by community members.
- Financial Constraints: The donated funds that have kept the server running will be depleted on December 14th.
We understand that this is a difficult decision, but it’s one that we’ve made after careful consideration. We don’t want to keep a server open that isn’t being enjoyed by anyone.
A Hope for Eden
While Lux will be closing, Eden will remain open for now. We hope that existing and new players will join us there to continue the Paradise Lost experience.
